Meet Chelsea

The farm was bustling… caterer’s unpacking, friends and family setting up the tent, the girls buzzing about upstairs… everyone preparing for the big wedding that afternoon. Brook was calm as ever as she dressed with her closest girls. Brandon was relaxing with his guys down the road, and as they made their way to the main house, he shared a beer and some laughs with his best guys. Every detail was perfect, and completely added to the relaxed and laid back feel of the entire wedding. As guests slowly trickled in, they all gathered under the big trees to wait for Brandon and Brook to tie the knot. Brook made her way through the vineyard, eyeing anxiously to see her groom waiting. Brandon waited at the altar – under the huge trees – until his beaming bride met him with a smile.

The ceremony was most intimate, reaching back to the Bride’s Quaker roots. There was an introduction explaining the ceremony, but it was mostly led by Brook and Brandon themselves. Ten minutes of silence were allowed for their guests (and them!) to reflect on the day and the marriage being knit together. Vows and rings were exchanged and that was it – they were hitched! After sprinting walking down the aisle, Brook and Brandon went to sign a register of the wedding…all of their guests followed suit. It was on to the party after that! I loved the non-traditional, backyard feel of the reception. Musician friends of the bride and groom formed the most excellent bluegrass-folk music, which served as the soundtrack for… Square Dancing! I have never seen so many people on the dance floor! The narrator provided the guests some directions, and once the routine went through once, the band played and everyone was having so much fun! What a fabulous evening!

Congratulations Brook and Brandon! The entire wedding was spectacular and filled with such love and care. I wish you every happiness in your lives together as newlyweds 🙂

Pretty much everything used for the wedding came from the farm. I about died when I saw the guys boutineers made out of eggs from the farm!

How handsome is he?! Love this shot below.

Anxiously waiting.

Crow Farm is also a Bed & Breakfast. The rooms were idyllic and perfectly quaint. The entire house was filled with some amazing personality!

Brook’s grandmother’s jewelry.

Brook’s bouquet was stunning, of course. I loved that she incorporated eggs and feathers into her bouquet as well. It fit perfectly and was gorgeous!

A bit windy, but was very refreshing on the unseasonably warm April afternoon!

Brook hand-picked each one of the dresses for her bridesmaids. I love how they all go together!

Cheers!

Brook and her attendants walked through the vineyard so that all of the guests (and Brandon!) could see her coming. It was very dramatic and lovely!

The light was gorgeous and everybody was happy.

Brook & Brandon spent a lot of their time here at the farm. It’s an old dairy farm and the cows provided a great setting.

Love.

Crow Farm also runs a vineyard. The Vidal Blanc was served at each of the tables. They also served Chambourcin from Knobb Hall Winery and Slate from Black Ankle Winery (all Maryland wines).

Once the band came out for the party, the Bride’s father joined them on stage to sing “Forever Young” to Brook and Brandon. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place.
And the square dancing begins!!
I cannot tell you how much fun it was watching! Everyone was having a great time and catching on to the directions!
Brook made the cake herself (gasp!)! I know, it’s gorgeous. The faux bois detail is incredible!
