The look on their faces when I entered the house had changed since the last time I saw them. Not because they were probably running on very few hours of sleep, and not because of what a crying baby can do to a person. It was because they had both fallen in love. Again. With someone new. With their sweet, new, little girl: Colette Rosalie. Their faces had changed because their whole world had changed. Yes, they are still the fun and fabulous couple who lives in the most amazing, old house (which is beautifully decorated, by the way!), but now they are the most amazing family, with love and a little girl.

Colette was only 9 weeks old when I met her. Alert as could be, she greeted me with tiny, leopard Stuart Weitzman’s (shoes), her mama’s pearls and a fetching, little headband. Although she did not like being bare-bellied long, we swaddled her up and her eyes filled with sleep 🙂 Her nursery is a girlish paradise, filled with repurposed furniture, things of the past, and – of course – all things beautiful. Some old pictures graced the walls, along with an old bonnet, and a picture of a beautiful rose… the sweet baby’s middle namesake. And let’s not forget the mini Tour Eiffel nestled in the corner! Colette was a dream, and the most delightful baby.
