Meet Chelsea

I’m so excited to announce this morning that we are opening up a SECOND date for the Photography for Moms Workshop! The workshop will cover the same content as the original Workshop that’s being held on January 28, 2017. This workshop sold out in under 24 hours!

SO, are you ready for this?! Here are the details and I hope you’ll grab a friend and join us for a beautifully styled afternoon THIS SPRING!

Let me guess, you got a *really nice camera* for Christmas last year (or are getting on THIS Christmas!), but haven’t a clue on how to wield it’s amazing picture-taking qualities? Or you are a busy Mom who LOVES taking pictures, but can’t seem to find the time to learn how to get out of that little, green box of Automatic mode? Better yet, are you the Everymom who uses your iPhone on a daily basis to take pictures of your kids, but can’t get them to be as swoon-worthy as you’d like?

Then this is for you.

I’m thrilled to introduce a uniquely styled workshop experience in SPRING 2017: Photography for Moms: Round 2.

As a Mom of three, I understand the importance and value of being able to take good pictures of your children and family. What a privilege and blessing that cameras and photography are so mainstream and advanced that we can take an endless (seemingly) amount of pictures to pass along to our children and grandchildren! Childhood is such a fleeting and beautiful stage of life, and I know you want to not only document it, but document it WELL.

My hope is to offer you an experience – not just a class – for learning how to wield that camera of yours. I hope to expose you to learning not only from me, but your fellow Mamas and friends. We are a community, after all, and sharing tips and tricks to become successful can only help encourage each other! So bring a friend, bring a sister, or bring your Mom (but please, let’s be kid-free for a day!)!

Here’s what we’ll be covering in the Workshop:

  • How to break out of Automatic Mode: Understanding your DSLR camera
  • Basic lighting and composition: Making a better photograph
  • Take better pictures with your iPhone (or smart phone) with some tips and tricks

The Details

  • Where: Heritage Chocolate Shop, Leonardtown, Maryland
  • Time: 1:00pm-4:00pm

What to Expect

Drive into the charming and historic Leonardtown Square to find the oh-so-adorable Heritage Chocolate Shop. You’ll be greeted with homemade hot chocolate and a hug, while you socialize a bit with the other attendees. Grab your seat at the family-style table next to your girls (go ahead, taste that hand-crafted chocolate morsel that’s waiting for you). We’ll have an artfully prepared presentation and a time to share with others. We’ll wrap up the afternoon with an open Question & Answer session. You’ll enjoy local food from Heritage Chocolates and The Rex, flowers from Scarborough Farm, great conversation and a heap of new skills to take home and try with your families! Before you head out the door, don’t forget to pick up your goody bag of fun things featuring local artisans! When the workshop is all said and done, I am happy to still be available to you as a resource for questions and encouragement!

Are you ready?! Me too. To grab your seat, START HERE! Can’t wait to see you!
