Meet Chelsea

It always feels like a dream when you step off that train platform onto the bustling curb of the station. People buzzing past you, the cool air from the subway floating through the tunnels. Up the stairs you go, and you’re greeted by the most magnificent landscape: New York City in the fall. The romance of it all makes you want to buy a cup of coffee and just sit on a bench just to take it all in. The leaves had fallen and the people were already wrapped up in their coats, heading to wherever they would go that day. The fall sunshine is the best, as it peeks through the buildings and dances off their metal structures as if it’s bidding you to come explore its fine town. The rush of the taxis and the banter of people in conversation made for our soundtrack on the walk up “just a few blocks” to Central Park from Penn Station. I didn’t mind the walk, but I tried not to look the part of “tourist” as I gazed up at the lights and sights in complete awe. New York in the fall could not be any more perfect.

Once I arrived at the corner of Columbus and 72nd, I met up with the most stylish and adorable couple, whom I had only met via e-mail a week earlier. They had flown in from Paris on Holiday, and had asked me to come up to New York and take their engagement pictures! Thrilled at the opportunity, I traveled up and had planned to walk around Central Park with them. We gushed over the shopping in New York, and they told me about their engagement and wedding plans. I asked them about their lives in Paris and drooled at the details they provided. With each click of my camera, I could see just how much in love they were and how perfect they are together. He is dashing and smart, and she is sweet and stylish. What an amazing pair. They joked about just going to Vegas to get married, and I joked about coming to Paris to shoot their wedding! We had a great time exploring the charm of New York in the fall. We parted ways that afternoon – they went back to Paris, and I went back to Maryland. I was left to swoon over these romantic pictures…

UNTIL…

A couple of weeks ago, this amazing couple asked me to come to Paris and photograph their wedding! This couple – a dream to photograph in the romance that New York has to offer – will be even more fabulous to photograph in Paris, the ultimate city of romance. I believe it took me a week to clean up my jaw which had dropped on the floor when I got their e-mail, but the plans are made and I can hardly stand the wait until their wedding in July! And to get you, my sweet readers and fellow bloggers, ready for the fabulousness that is to come this summer, here’s a little peek into their engagement session from this past fall. Fall in New York…there are few things better…until Paris 🙂
