She stayed upstairs tucked away, giggling with her Mom and sisters. She slowly put on her jewelry, shoes, dress… then waited. Everyone was buzzing around her, asking questions and sharing sweet words of encouragement. But still she sat, calm and collected, gorgeously at ease just hours before she would greet her groom and get married. On the other side of town, he sat tucked away with his best guys around him. Smiling and joking, there was still a peaceful feel over everyone present. He was going to marry the love of his life. His foundation. His heart. And nothing could sway him that morning. Colin and Meaghan tied the knot that beautiful summer afternoon, then spent the rest of the day making their way through Annapolis hot spots with their closest friends. Holding hands the entire way, they both remained peaceful but utterly ecstatic that they were now – and finally – husband and wife.
Having been to a wedding or two, I have never found myself holding back tears so much as I did that day. Every moment was sentimental, and the words that were exchanged about Colin and Meaghan were the kindest I’ve heard anyone speak about a couple. It was the best day ever. Congratulations, Colin & Meaghan!
