Meet Chelsea

Happy December to you, lovely readers! It’s been quite a while since my last photography-related blog post, which is rather sad because I am in fact, a photographer. If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been this entire summer and fall, I’ve been swarmed with thousands and thousands of beautiful photographs from the many weddings and photo shoots I had scheduled! On top of that, being pregnant (and still sick/tired/uncomfortable) and chasing around a very very active toddler has kept me otherwise occupied. This has been the first weekend since July that I did not have to leave my home in Southern Maryland, or that we did not spend it up in Baltimore with shoots and meetings. The traveling break was much needed, and my odometer is thanking me 🙂 Instead, I locked myself inside my fabulous emerald-green office and edited until my little eyes were sore. Christmas is right around the corner, and I promise that if you are waiting on images from me… do not fear. They’re coming! And you all look GREAT! Have I mentioned how many amazing clients I’ve had this year?!

One of the weddings I’m wrapping up this week was one of my favorites this year. It just happened to be the wedding of a very dear friend of mine, Lynn. We were such good friends in middle school (oh yes, the garbage bags FULL of paper notes we exchanged prove our special friendship), and have only kept in touch via Facebook all these years. Meeting with her before her wedding was like time had never passed! She’s still the amazing person she was back then, although now she’s married to an incredible guy who makes her super happy. It truly touched my heart to be a part of her wedding day and see her so happy. It also made me VERY happy that Lynn’s mother (and Lynn as well) is an impeccable party planner. There was no detail over-looked, and the Chesapeake/Nautical theme they stuck by was executed flawlessly.  Photographing everything was a dream…and a field day.

Because I love you so very much, I thought I’d throw myself back into blogging with this incredible and very special wedding! Congratulations to my sweet friend, Lynn and her handsome hubby, Jeff!

New Hardware for Jeff.

The reason for second shooters (well, one of them…): My shot is this image, and Kari’s is right below it. Same moment, two totally different perspectives!

Kari’s perspective at the same moment. Love.

Anyone who knows Lynn remembers what an awesome laugh that girl has. Could not get over just how stunning she was (and is!)!

These guys made my afternoon. Are they not the cutest ever? Talk about heartbreakers.

These were real crabs. I know, because I smelled one. How creative is this!?

Each centerpiece had a different Maryland/Chesapeake Water Shed. Oyster shells were collected by the bride’s Mom and dried out in her yard as soon as the couple got engaged! Some of the shells even housed salt and pepper for the table!

There were a couple toasts, led off by Lynn’s sister. I was sobbing crying through the whole thing.

There was an ice cream bar once cake was served. Genius. Cake and ice cream? Yum. The ice cream came from a small shop in Pennsylvania that the family used to frequent. It was homemade and it was out of this world.
