Meet Chelsea

The weather is getting chillier, and I’ve broken out my boots, ugly socks, and sweatpants. Hot Apple Cider is in my mug every morning, and I’m *this close* to breaking out the Christmas music. I even watched “Elf” with Camden last week. Too soon for Christmas? Holiday-themed goodness is all over Pinterest these days, and I just can’t help myself. Even Target has started airing Christmas commercials! In an effort to not lose my ENTIRE readership on this little blog of mine, I’ll restrain from unleashing my Christmas spirit.

I love Fall in Maryland, don’t you? If you are not from Maryland or have never been here, it’s just amazing. Temperatures range from 55 degrees to a warm and sunny 72 degrees. The colors on the leaves are out of this world, and it seems that everyone is in a good mood! We are outside most days of the week (Camden likes to collect rocks and put them in the back of his “Dup” (Jeep)), and I just like to sit out on our front porch and soak in the last of the warm sun for the year. My fridge is stocked with apples of every variety, homemade vanilla bean ice cream, and I have a couple new items arriving this week from Amazon.com! Life is good. I love the changing seasons because it means a WHOLE new wardrobe change. Being pregnant makes it especially challenging, as I have to be creative with the few maternity pieces I have already. So I’m finding myself this month enjoying the fall shoe collections out there. Shoes can be trusted. They won’t deny you to be worn if you gain an extra 10-20 pounds (like what is in my imminent future over the next few months). I must say that the colors out this season in the shoe department are SO FUN! So, I’m featuring two pairs of shoes that I adore, along with a couple other favorites to share!

Next month is NOVEMBER, which means then it’s December! If you are like me, I struggle every year to find fun and creative gifts that are worth holding onto. I will need some assistance! What is on your Christmas list? I will be doing TWO Loving Lately posts in November and December to feature fun gift finds for all the people on your list. So tell me, e-mail me, or comment here: what is in your list? And your boyfriend/hubby’s list? Do you have kids? Have you spotted anything amazing this fall and want to share it?! Please do, I love hearing your input for this series!

So here’s what I’m loving lately. Enjoy!

1. Jeggings. Cannot tell you how much I love my jeggings. Currently, mine are Maternity (if you have a baby bump as well, you can find mine HERE). I had a pair of regular jeggings from Gap, but it looks like they no longer make them. These from Old Navy look just as good and feel just as comfortable. Wear them rolled up a bit with some cute flats, rolled down with a pair of killer heels, or tucked into some cute boot socks and wear ’em with your Frye boots from last month 🙂 Versatile and comfortable and cute.

2. Kate Spade Bow Earrings. I don’t actually own these yet, but they are on my Christmas list! They are so adorable, and I can’t decide which ones I like the best. They come in all different colors/metals and I think they are just perfect to pair with a casual or dressy outfit. Hint, hint to whomever has to shop for me for Christmas! You can also find a really good selection on Amazon.com, where I prefer to do most of my online shopping!

3. UGG Australia Tall Boots. My sister’s don’t believe me when I tell them, but these boots are worth every penny. They are not the most attractive things, but they keep your feet warm at all times. And not sweaty warm, either. These are comfortable and warm. I’ve had mine for about 4 years now and they are still in great condition (I’d recommend the UGG spray to keep the suede in good shape). I wear mine with everything, and this time of year, I would not trade them for anything!!! There’s nothing then a cold morning and a pair of UGG’s. Seriously. If you don’t own a pair yet, put them on your list!

4. Kenra 25 Volume Hair Spray. Don’t roll your eyes, ladies, but I swear by this stuff. I use my flat iron (GHD 1 inch) to curl my hair most days. Because my hair is pretty fine, I need some assistance in holding the curl and keeping my hair from going completely flat to my head. The spray is so light, it doesn’t look greasy or wet when sprayed. After blow drying, I’ll spray some of this stuff over all my hair (top, middle and bottom layers), and then curl/style as usual. If you’re like me and have a thousand “wispy’s,” this stuff will hold ’em down when you’re finishing your style. It also smells pretty good 🙂

5. Veuve Cliquot Brut Champagne. Obviously, I am not drinking this now, nor do I on a regular basis when NOT pregnant! But, when I do enjoy some libations (again, when NOT pregnant), I prefer a glass or two of bubbly! This is the good stuff. It’s my go-to for wedding gifts or special occasion gifts. It’s a bit pricey, but it tastes SO GOOD. It’s a great treat to really celebrate a special occasion! To help with the cost, I purchased a case of this stuff to have on hand when needed at a lower cost (usually when you buy a case of any alcohol, the stores will discount it). And bonus, you can now ship wine to Maryland!!! I’ve had a good experience with Wine.com, and you can usually find a deal on shipping or bulk orders. (*Gift tip* If you regularly bring a bottle of wine as a hostess or housewarming gift, I highly recommend purchasing the wine in a full or half case – 12 or 6 bottles – as there will always be a discount. It’s nice to have the bottles on hand so you aren’t running out last-minute!)

6. Coach Suede Hot Pink Loafers. I don’t own these babies yet, but they are on their way to my house! I adore the color, and I’ve owned a pair of Coach shoes before – they are pretty comfortable! Loafers are the hot shoe this season and I’m happy to own this pair of darling flats!

7. FujiFilm Instax Mini. I got this little mini-Polaroid for Christmas last year and I love it! It’s compact and spits out credit-card sized polaroid (instant) pictures! I love the colors of an old, vintage camera, but this is new AND inexpensive. Camden loves watching the camera spit out the picture, and he even blows on it to help it develop! If you want to share with your kids the beauty of Polaroids, this is something great for them and fun for you! We have several of them hanging on our fridge, along with handwritten dates. I love it! I’ve also seen this used for a wedding guest book. I also used it for Camden’s First Birthday party this Spring, to capture his photo booth!

There you have it… Happy October everyone, and don’t forget to leave a comment with things that YOU are Loving Lately 🙂 I’d love to hear from you! And because I’ve been shamefully watching Gossip Girl on Netflix…
