I walked through the door into a quiet beauty salon. Kelly was typing away on her cell phone, donning an ear-to-ear grin. A variety of Hawaiian flowers were everywhere and a pair of simple mango-colored mimosas sat waiting on the counter to start the celebration.
My friend Kelly glows. I think being a newlywed has just a little to do with it.Most of it, however, is just her nature.
Kelly and Josh were married in May on the island of Maui, Hawaii. I don’t think their wedding could have been any more perfect, according to her description. Since only the closest friends and family made it out to Hawaii, they wanted to dedicate this day for the rest of their closest friends and family who couldn’t make it out to the Island.
So many little details made my job easy! Every detail alluded to Kelly and Josh’s time in Hawaii. Perhaps it was the abundance of fresh flowers or just the “aloha” feeling of the party, but everyone was relaxed, happy and excited to be there to support Josh and Kelly’s new marriage!
The reception took place at St. Mary’s City’s Brome-Howard Inn, right on the St. Mary’s river. The view was breathtaking and the Inn was just idyllic. Josh looked at Kelly all day with doting eyes and Kelly’s frequent glances toward Josh were filled with love and pride. They truly are a happy couple, and both have amazing kindness towards everyone they come in contact with.
Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day, Kelly and Josh! I wish you all the blessings and happiness in the world!
Several excited text messages were exchanged that morning. Please also note Kelly’s gorgeous wedding rings!
Kelly had some awesome hot pink Coach wedges! I tried to take them, but Kelly said she would inspect my purse before I left 😉
The “first” glimpse!
Kelly surprised Josh with a grooms cake – since Josh is an avid Cleveland Browns fan, the cake was themed for his football team! Josh was so surprised!
Kelly’s Parents and Josh’s Parents
Kelly had some creative and very unique favors. Each tin had seeds in it and the silk flower on top showed which kind of seed was in the tin! Not only a great gift, but something you get to enjoy for several months!
One of my favorites from the day… both of them just look “smitten.”
Thanks again, Kelly and Josh! Your day was beautiful and it was so nice to celebrate with you!
