I met her when she was in 7th grade…I was just a sophomore in high school. I watched her grow up through those years and loved pretending that she was the younger sister I never had. She was goofy and funny – a total contrast to my personality in high school! She is the sweetheart of her family and the darling among her friends. Some years past when I didn’t see her or talk to her really, but last year, our friendship reunited when she contacted me, interested in photography.

Happy to have some company when I shot weddings, Kari tagged along and let me boss her around 😉 She is my faithful assistant and second-shooter and most of all, a sweet, sweet friend. While she’s still the funny one and I’m still the very un-funny one, we somehow still manage to have a good time! She will probably make fun of me big time for saying this, but after all those years, and especially after taking these pictures for her own budding photography business, I am just amazed that she is not that little 7th grader I met so many years ago, but instead a gorgeous and talented photographer and friend.

You can catch her {for now} by my side at most weddings, telling jokes to the groomsmen to get them to relax! But not for long. This girl’s going places, and she’s taking her camera with her!
